Maintain good sleeping posture

  • Avoid lying on your right side.

If pile mass comes out of your back passage while passing stools

  • Do not rub it with toilet paper or wipes.
  • Use lukewarm water to clean the area.
  • Put some lubricating jelly or herbal oil and gently push it back inside the back passage.
  • If it does not go back inside, do not force. Clean the area and do sitz bath for 10 minutes and wait for some time. You may also try putting ice packs for a few minutes. It should go back after a few hours.
  • If it does not go back at all, seek medical advice.
  • If pile mass is outside the back passage always keep a soft gauze piece on it as it may get wounded and infected if left open because of friction due to undergarments.
