got cured for fistula but not completely

sir i was operated for fistula two times. after my frst surgery my problem was not cured but asfter second surgery i got much relief. pain is not much now but i still feel some kind of discharge and pus from anal region. can it be again a recurrence. Pain is much less now and m able to do al my work.

Hello, Recurrence after surgery is very common in fistula. If you are still having pus, it is definitely a recurrence and needs treatment before it gets worse. Not having pain does not mean that the disease is cured. In many patients fistula remains painless most of the times. If ignored, it may spread to deeper tissues making it more difficult to treat. So its better to get it treated as soon as possible. All the very best
